The government basically receives 2 ways. A tax revenue, which the taxpayer is mandatory to pay, is non-tax revenues, which are the goods and service fees. The government provides goods and services to the general public, The people consume it and pay the fixed amount to the government, after consuming it, the kind of revenues received by the government is non-tax revenues. It is another rule other than the tax to receive the government. For example, the telephone receipts, electricity tariffs, Water Supply taxes, postal tickets, passports etc. have received accumulation.
Non-tax revenues in Nepal
In Nepal, sources of non-tax revenues are obtained from the following sources:
1. Duty & Fee (Examination Fee, Passport Fee, Tourism Fee etc.)
2. Penalty, Criminal and Crime
3. Royalty and government property sales
4. Income from government goods and service sales
5. Pull back
6. Interest rate
7. Dividend
8. Donations, gifts and diverse income
