Introduction - Federalism in Nepal
Federalism in Nepal is the decentralized multi-level political arrangement of Nepal. It replaces the government held by the Shah line.
Provinces
The nation's seven regions now shape middle of the road level of government.
Region 1 – Solukhumbu, Sankhuwasabha, Taplejung, Okhaldhunga, Khotang, Bhojpur, Terhathum, Panchthar, Dhankuta, Ilam, Morang, Sunsari, Udayapur and Jhapa
Region 2 – Parsa, Bara, Rautahat, Sarlalhi, Mahottari, Dhanusha, Siraha and Saptari.
Region 3 – Sindhuli, Ramechhap, Dolakha, Kavre Palanchok, Lallitpur, Makwanpur, Chitwan, Dhading, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Nuwakot, Sindhupalchok and Rasuwa.
Region 5 – Bardiya, Banke, Nawalparasi (west of Bardaghgat Susta), Rukum (eastern part), Rolpa, Pyuthan, Gulmi, Dang, Arghakhanchi, Kapilbastu, Rupandehi and Palpa. Dang will be the headquarter of this Province no. 5
Territory 6 – Surkhet, Dailekh, Jajarkot, Kalikot, Jumla, Dolpa, Mugu, Salyan, Rukum (western part) and Humla
Territory 7 – Darchula, Bajhang, Bajura, Baitadi, Dadeldhura, Doti, Achham, Kanchanpur and Kailali.
